A native flora preserve and sculpture garden
Signage is posted throughout the MGG detailing the utility of each plant and explaining the historical significance of each sculpture. Titles of flora are written in English, Ojibwe and Latin; please observe the paths in order to preserve the flora.
STREET DIRECTIONS TO THE MINNESOTA GOOSE GARDEN:
Located in east-central MN on Kanabec Cty Rd 21, 8.5 miles west of I-35 on exit 191.
From the east, take Interstate 35 to the Sandstone exit and go west. Follow Highway 61 west for ~2 miles. Take a right at the junction onto Pine County Road 27 and follow it to Grindstone Lake (which will be on your right after ~ 5 miles.) Continue 3 miles farther until the road becomes Kanabec County Road 21 (355th Ave.) After ~ 3/4 of a mile, you will see the Minnesota Goose Garden on the left, with parking on the right (north) side. From the west (Mora area) take Highway 65 north and turn right (east) on Kanabec County Road 3 and proceed 9 miles. At Kanabec County 20 turn left (north) for 6.5 miles to Kanabec County Road 21. Take a right onto County Road 21. The Minnesota Goose Garden will be on your right after 1/4 of a mile, with parking on the left (north) side of the road.
